Greenville woman killed, driver seriously injured in Darke County crash

UPDATE @11:41 a.m.

The female passenger killed early this morning in a single car crash on State Route 49, has been identified as Terra A. Hodge, 33, of Greenville.

The driver of the Hyundai Elantra she was riding in, is listed in serious condition at Maimi Valley Hospital. He’s been identified as Jason N. Jones, 32 of Greenville.

Deputies investigating the crash said the car went left of center on struck a concrete culvert.

UPDATE @6:32 a.m.

One person has died following a crash on Route 49 near Hollansburg-Sampson Road.

Officials confirmed a female passenger died on the scene. The driver was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with serious injuries.

The crash happened on Route 49 between Holansburg-Sampson and Gordon-Landes roads.

The road is expected to be closed until about 8 a.m.

UPDATE @5:35 a.m.

At least one person was transported by CareFlight after a single-vehicle crash early Monday morning.

Two people were injured in the crash, but it’s unknown if both were transported to a hospital by CareFlight.

Initial reports indicated two people were unresponsive.

The single-vehicle crashed into a drainage ditch around 4:35 a.m. on Route 49 near Hollansburg-Sampson Road.

CarFlight has been requested to a crash in Darke County where two people were injured.

The crash was reported around 4:35 a.m. Monday near the intersection of Route 49 and Hollansburg-Sampson Road near Arcanum.

Initial reports indicate there are two people unresponsive.
