Celina man arrested on charges of abduction, felonious assault

Celina, OH- On Wednesday June 7, Timothy Hanna of Celina was arrested on charges of abduction, a felony of the third degree and felonious assault, a felony of the second degree.

It was alleged that on Tuesday June 6, Hanna restrained a 35 year old female inside his residence on W. Market Street in Celina.

Celina Police state it was reported the female tried to escape the residence, but was prevented from doing so by Hanna, who also fired a handgun and threatened the female.

Once the female escaped the residence she immediately sought medical treatment and then reported the incident to the Celina Police Department.

Authorities served a search warrant at Hanna’s residence on Wednesday finding eight firearms, a fired bullet, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Hanna is currently being held at the Mercer County Jail and further charges are expected according to Celina Police.

Hanna is scheduled for arraignment in Celina Municipal Court on Friday, June 9th, 2017.
