Crews rescue 11 ducklings from storm drain in Beavercreek

Police and fire crews rescued 11 ducklings that were found trapped in a storm drain on North Fairfield Road Wednesday afternoon.

The ducklings became separated from their mother and were found trapped in the storm drain near the intersection of North Fairfield Road and Beaver Vu Drive.

The mother was not located near the scene, and the ducks will be given to a family member of a Beavercreek police officer who raises ducks.

Police blocked the right lane of northbound North Fairfield Road for crews to complete the rescue until about 2:05 p.m.
