WATCH: Kettering police pursuit ends on bike path

UPDATE @ 2:12 p.m. (Jan. 23)

This newsroom has obtained two cruiser camera videos from Kettering police showing the officers pursuing a stolen vehicle on Jan. 14. Police arrested one man in relation to the incident, but two women are still at large.

The video from the lead police cruiser shows the officer pursuing the vehicle through multiple Kettering streets before it enters the bike path.

The video shows the cruiser continued the pursuit onto the bike path but it became stuck when it entered a section that was fenced on both sides. The pursued vehicle appears to get temporarily stuck just in front of the cruiser but it can be seen pulling away.

The video from the second cruiser shows the first cruiser’s crash before it attempts to relocate the pursued vehicle on the other side of the fenced section.

Kettering police continue to work to identify two women who were wanted as part of the incident, according to Spokesman John Jung.

One of the female suspects was driving and the other was a passenger, Jung said.

This pursuit as with every other pursuit involving a Kettering police officer undergoes an extensive internal review. The officer whose cruiser was damaged was not injured in the incident.
