1 wounded in reported robbery, shooting on North Main Street in Dayton

UPDATE @ 8:55 p.m.:  A Dayton police sergeant tells us the victim in the North Main Street shooting was hit in the hip and has been taken to a hospital.

Police and a medic unit were dispatched initially on a report the victim had been shot in the head.

Police are looking for a gunman who shot someone in the head at or near a Marathon service station in the 1800 block of North Main Street.

OTHER LOCAL NEWS: Injunction hearing for strip club continues

Dayton police and a medic unit were dispatched just before 7:30 p.m. on a report that the shooting occurred during an apparent robbery.

Police said they are looking for a young man, believed to be 18 to 19 years old.

The condition of the victim is not known.
