Delayed residential development back in front of planning commission

A previously stalled residential development proposal in Centerville will be back in front of the city planning commission tonight.

EARLIER: New 444-unit apartment complex proposed for Centerville

The Gateway Lofts project, a proposed 444-unit multi-family development along Chardonnay Drive off Alex Bell Road, hit a road block after the developer discovered a large amount of bedrock on the northeast corner of the property, forcing the developer to reduce the size of the plan.

Initial preliminary development plans, approved in February, were for 444 units spread across 20 buildings. New plans will have 394 units spread across 13 buildings.

Centerville’s planning commission is scheduled for 7 p.m. tonight at 100 W. Spring Valley Pike.
