Driver loses control, totals pickup after crashing into Dayton house

A driver apparently lost control of his pickup truck Wednesday evening and crashed into a house.

Neither the driver nor his passenger was hurt in the crash reported at 6:30 p.m. on Macready Avenue at Barling Avenue, according to Dayton fire officials.

The impact destroyed the brick porch of the house, which neighbors said was vacant.

The black Ford F-150 is likely totaled, Dayton police said.

Drugs and alcohol are not considered factors, and police said the crash remains under investigation.
