A fire that caused extensive damage to a Miamisburg home is believed to have started by an electrical problem.
The fire in the 2300 block of Oakbark Street caused heavy, dark smoke pouring from the home around 5:15 a.m., according to witnesses. Firefighters had to pull down most of the ceilings on the first floor to get to the fire, which was in the attic, officials said.
The cause of the fire is believed to be electrical in nature, and Dayton Power and Light has been requested to respond. Officials said there were two additional calls on Oakbark Street related to electrical issues overnight.
