State Environmental Protection Agency Director Craig Butler has sent a letter to the Ohio Manufactured Homes Commission asking for support in helping ensure Pineview Estates fixes its water system as ordered.

Butler’s April 14 letter to OMHC Executive Director Janet Williams includes “a formal request that the OMHC join the Ohio EPA in using all appropriate statutory and rule authority to ensure residents of Pineview are being properly served and protected.”

The 200-unit mobile home park at 5730 Farmersville-West Carrollton Road with a history of EPA violations has since June 2016 been under court-appointed management after a judge barred the owner from involvement at the site.

That ruling came after Pineview owner Timothy Dearwester failed to comply with court orders issued last year and 2015 EPA mandates to provide for a reliable water system.
