The ceremony follows after nine area high schools including Beavercreek, Bellbrook, Cedarville, Fairborn, Greene County Career Center, Greeneview, Legacy Christian Academy, Xenia, and Yellow Springs took part in the challenge and shared the dangers of driving without a sealt belt, statistics, and messages of encouragement.

Lt. Matt Schmenk, Ohio Highway Patrol Xenia post, said, "We're trying to get that next generation of drivers that's coming out on the road to understand the importance of wearing a seatbelt."
There was an unannounced seat belt observation at each school. The school with the highest percentage of students wearing seat belts as they left the campus at the end of the day won $500 from the All State Foundation.
The ceremony featured speakers from AAA, Greene County Safe Communities, Fairborn Police Officer Jim Hern, state patrol and representatives from the participating schools.
