In October, the city agreed to lease the now-former Fire Station 32 on Dorothy Lane to Kettering City Schools for three years to launch a new Fire Science program for the Career Tech Center.

With the program beginning this fall, there will be an open house at the fire station at 250 W. Dorothy Lane from 3 to 5 p.m. Aug. 8. The event will include a tour of the facility, a meet-and-greet with CTC and fire science staff members and a first hand look at the program’s Fairmont-branded fire truck and ambulance.
