Flames shoot from Dayton house; structure deemed total loss

A vacant house on West Second Street in Dayton is considered a total loss after a fire broke out Tuesday morning.

Fire crews responded to the house in the 1300 block of West Second Street around 11:50 p.m. and reported heavy flames and smoke coming from the structure.

Firefighters did not enter the structure because they knew the house was vacant, according to investigators.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation and no injuries were reported.

Firefighters are on the scene of a structure fire on West Second Street this morning.

The fire was reported in the 1300 block of West Second around 11:50 a.m.
