Four juveniles taken into custody following a pursuit and crash in Germantown early Wednesday morning are being taken to an area hospital.
According to police, an officer attempted to make a traffic stop in the area of Dayton Pike and Weaver Road after a red car ran a stop sign. The car then fled and a pursuit ensued.
Speed reached up to about 60 MPH during the pursuit. The car, which was reportedly stolen out of Miamisburg, went off the road in the 300 block of S. Cherry Street and came to a rest in a home’s front yard.
Four juveniles got out of the car and fled, police said. Additional police and a K9 unit responded to the area, and the juveniles were located in Kercher Park.
The four juveniles, who police said will likely face charges of fleeing a traffic stop and receiving stolen property, were taken to an area hospital as a precaution.

Four people are now in custody following a pursuit and crash in Germantown.
Police said a car sped off when police attempted a traffic stop. The car crashed into a front yard on South Cherry Street, and four people inside fled on foot.
A perimeter was set up around Kercher Park, and by 3 a.m., all four suspects had been located.
Police would not comment on why a traffic stop was initiated, but earlier scanner traffic indicated the occupants were wanted in a robbery.

The vehicle crashed in the area, and those inside the vehicle fled.
Police are searching Kercher Park for the suspects.
