Gas prices rise slightly in the region

Gas prices rose slightly over the last week in Southwest Ohio and the Miami Valley, but remain near the national average.

Average retail gas prices in Dayton rose 0.5 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.15 per gallon on Sunday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 391 gas outlets in Dayton.

This compares with the national average that has increased 4.4 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.18 a gallon, according to GasBuddy.com.

According toGasBuddy.com, the average price for a gallon of gas in Dayton is $2.15, with prices stable. The cheapest gas, as of this morning, is $1.99 at multiple locations along South Smithville Road on Dayton's east side.

InHamilton, the average price for a gallon of gas is $2.21, with prices stable. The cheapest gas is $2.09 at Murphy USA at Princeton Road and Ohio 4.

InSpringfield, the average price for a gallon of gas is $2.15, with prices stable. The cheapest gas is $2.11 at Murphy USA on South Tuttle Road near East National Road.
