The new Beavercreek restaurant is only the second Wayback Burgers in Ohio; the other is in Wadsworth, near Akron.
Wayback Burgers occupies about 955 square feet at the center of the mall’s food court, according to Kristie Miller, general manager at the Mall at Fairfield Commons, said last July. In recent months, BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, BRAVO! Cucina Italiana, and Chuy’s Tex Mex restaurants have opened, as has Designer Dogs in the mall’s food court.
The Cheshire, Connecticut-based Wayback Burgers began in 1991 as Jake’s Hamburgers in Newark, Delaware. In 2010, Jake’s Hamburgers changed its name to Jake’s Wayback Burgers. The franchise-based chain operates more than 100 restaurants nationwide.
In addition to burgers and shakes, Wayback’s menu also includes house-made potato chips, beef hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, turkey burgers and salads.
