High-end apartment complex planned for Washington Twp.

Developers are planning an $11 million dollar luxury apartment complex in Washington Twp.

Redwood Acquisitions, based in Beachwood, is looking to build near the intersection of Social Row Road and Dayton Lebanon Pike.

“The plans are for 114 units,” said Lohn Lateulere, executive vice president of development for Redwood Acquisitions. “They will have have two bathrooms and two bedrooms with two-car attached garages.”

Rent is estimated to be $1,300 a month. The project will be part of a 60-acre mixed use development that will also bring businesses to the neighborhood.

“The only restrictions on that is no fast food or gas stations,” said Ryan Lee, Washington Twp. zoning manager. “I anticipate to have traditional retail types of businesses.”

Earlier plans for the apartments were for 123 units. The number was reduced to 114 to free up more space and add more features to the apartments, Lee said.

This latest development will be similar to another project underway by Redwood Acquisitions in the Austin Landing development, a high-end apartment complex on approximately 22 acres.

Taylor Gray, 24, said she is looking forward to seeing the area expand.

“I grew up in this town,” Gray said. “It is nice to see more living options here.”

A construction date for the project has not been announced. There are plans to move in tenants in 2017.
