Huber police search for reportedly armed and dangerous man

Area police agencies are on the look-out for a reportedly armed and dangerous man who led Huber Heights police officers on a chase Sunday morning.

Crews began pursuing the man in a black, 4-door Chevy sedan, with license plate number GYJ4426, around 12:15 a.m. near The Heights Raquetball Club on Taylorsville Road, according to Huber Heights Sgt. Mike Eagan.

Police were initially dispatched to the club after a 9-1-1 caller claimed to have heard a man in a parked car threaten to open fire inside the business.

When police arrived the car fled, according to Eagan and officers pursued the car until reaching Chambersburg Road and Old Troy Pike.

No injuries or crashes occurred during the pursuit and attempts to stop the car with tire deflation devices were unsuccessful, Eagan said.
