Humane Society Pet of the Week

Name: Licorice

Age: 2 years

Color: Gray

Breed: American

Gender: Female

Spayed: Yes

Why she is special: If Licorice had her way her motto would be “don’t fence me in.” She’s an adventurous girl who is also a bit of an escape artist from her exercise pen. Once she gets time out to explore and run she’s a binky machine. Her favorite thing is when you play with her by getting on the floor at her level, then she loves to cuddle and be petted. Licorice has a great appetite for her papaya tablet treat, timothy hay and fresh greens. She’s wonderful with her litter box habits. Give her a wicker ball or toy and she’ll be totally entertained. Due to her history as a stray she isn’t too fond of dogs or cats and would do best in a home without them. If you’re interested in adopting this beauty, please contact our shelter to arrange for a meet and greet and fill out an adoption application.

Cost: $65

Where to adopt: Humane Society of Greater Dayton, 1661 Nicholas Road in Dayton.
