Replacement of the Keowee Street bridge over the Great Miami River will impact traffic between Dayton and Harrison Twp. and impact some area businesses for almost a year.
Construction on the bridge will close the roadway north of Stanley Avenue and cause a detour for the RTA Route 17.

The following will go into effect as a result of the bridge closure:
- The official RTA detour for the construction is from Keowee Street to Stanley Avenue to Interstate 75 to Wagner Ford Road and back to Dixie.
- Northbound and southbound stops between Keowee Street and Stanley Avenue to Dixie Drive and Siebenthaler Avenue will be closed during this time. RTA staff will mark the closed stops with temporary signs, which will alert riders which stop is the closest stop for them to board.
- The southbound stop at Dixie at Wagner Ford will be closed, and southbound RTA riders should use the stop at Dixie at Siebenthaler to catch the bus. The northbound stop at Dixie and Wagner Ford will still be served.
City of Dayton engineers estimate the bridge construction to last throughout 2018 and into 2019.
