Male shot in Xenia last week no longer in ICU

A male who was shot on East Richard Drive in Xenia last week is doing better but remains a patient at Miami Valley Hospital, according to police.

The male is no longer being treated in the intensive care unit at MVH and his condition has been upgraded, according to Xenia Capt. Alonzo Wilson.

Police said the male was shot two times by another male during an altercation that happened the evening of Dec. 21.

Police have not released the identities of those involved in the shooting incident.

“This case will take some time to figure out who is truly the suspect and who is the victim,” Wilson said.

There have been no charges filed in the case.

Crime scene tape was up in a large area where the incident happened, on East Richard Drive and the 1100 block of Glover Drive where neighbors reported hearing multiple gunshots.
