Man who shot, killed victim in car sentenced to prison

The man who shot and killed another man in a vehicle earlier this year was sentenced to 40 years to life in prison.

Mark Shoecraft Jr, 39, of Dayton, was sentenced after he was found guilty during a bench trial last month for the shooting death of Eric Raglin on Basswood Avenue, according to prosecutors.

Shoecraft shot and killed Raglin, 30, while Raglin was sitting in the vehicle in the 200 block of Basswood.

Shoecraft was found guilty of murder and other charges and will serve at least 40 years in prison before being eligible for parole.
