Daley said police searched the student's locker and did not find any weapon or evidence he had any weapons.
Another student reported the boy's statement before school Thursday morning, Daley said.
Dr. Brad Ritchey, superintendent, Milton-Union Exempted Village Schools, said, "we do not believe there is a safety concern or security risk" at the school Friday.
"We believe it's over and done with," Ritchey said Thursday afternoon. "It was verbal, inappropriate remarks, something that should not have been said at school."
Ritchey said the incident has been addressed with school discipline. He declined to get into specifics, but said the discipline was beyond “a mere conversation with the principal and assistant principal.”
He said, "We will continue to intervene with that student moving forward."
