Morrow man, 74, dies after crash in Warren County

The Lebanon Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle crash at 11:47 a.m today at the intersection of Ohio 123 and Ohio 132 in Harlan Township, Warren County.

According to a press release issued Wednesday, preliminary investigation determined a black, 2006 Chevy Impala, operated by Fred Carmack Jr., 74, of Morrow, was traveling northwest on Ohio 123 when his car was struck by a 2018 Chevrolet Sonic, that ran a stop sign while traveling northeast on Ohio 132.

The Sonic was being operated by Danny Hiler, 71, of Georgetown, according to the release.

Carmack was transported by ambulance to Bethesda Arrow Springs outside Lebanon where he was pronounced dead.

Hiler was transported by ambulance to Bethesda North hospital in Montgomery for serious injuries.

Preliminary reports indicate that neither of the drivers was wearing a seatbelt.

No charges have been filed, but are being considered by investigators, according to the press release.
