Fire causes substantial damage to Sidney duplex

UPDATE @ 9:05 a.m.:

No one was inside a Sidney duplex when a fire broke out Monday morning, according to officials.

Crews from multiple jurisdictions were dispatched before 7:50 a.m. to the house in the 500 block of Oak Avenue after the fire was reported.

Officials said the fire was knocked down quickly, but the duplex sustained significant damage.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

FIRST REPORT

Firefighters have responded to reports of a house fire on Oak Avenue in Sidney Monday morning.

Crews responded to the 500 block of Oak Avenue before 7:50 a.m. after the fire was reported.

Multiple units from surrounding departments have also been dispatched to the scene, according to emergency scanner traffic.

It was not immediately known if any injuries have been reported.
