Northmont honors 4 early learning center volunteers

ENGLEWOOD – Four Kleptz Early Learning Center volunteers have been recognized by Northmont City Schools Superintendent Tony Thomas for their “Helping Hands” and involvement with the children.

Each volunteer was nominated by a teacher from the Kleptz Learning Center. The four volunteers are Molly Paugh, Debbie Chinchura, Emily Crist, and Delaney Schreiber.

Ann Anzalone, a nationally known speaker on education, spoke to the volunteers and audience about "Learning to Move, Learning to Move." Anzalone discussed the brain and the importance of keeping the body moving to assist growth and development in the brain. Anzalone also offered assistance to the learning center in the past, and it appears her advise is working, according to Beth Wyandt, principal of Kleptz Learning Center.

The recognition took place during the regularly scheduled Northmont Board of Education meeting Monday at the learning center.
