40-plus employers expected at Xenia Job Fair

More than 40 companies and organizations will be at the 2017 Xenia Job Fair, the city announced today.

The event is set to happen from 2 to 5 p.m. Oct. 24 at Xenia High School, 303 Kinsey Road.

Entry level to highly skilled and professional positions are up for grabs. Companies that will have exhibits include Airborne Maintenance and Engineering Services; NTB Trucking; Pepsi Beverage Company; Eyemart; Nuvasive Manufacturing; Assurant; First Transportation; Spectrum Brands; Twist, Inc.;Toward Independence; First Diversity; and Academy Health Services, Inc.

The event will also feature jobs targeted for “high school seniors only” from 1 to 2 p.m., according to the release.

“We have worked hard with our job fair partners this year to present an event that will not only highlight employment opportunities in our city and region, but will also include opportunities for graduating seniors,” Xenia City Manager Brent Merriman said in a prepared statement.

To put on the event, the city partnered with OhioMeansJobs Greene County, the Xenia Area Chamber of Commerce, Clark State Community College and Xenia Community Schools.
