Police issue 2nd public appeal for witnesses to 2016 fatal crash

DAYTON -- Police traffic unit investigators are issuing a second public appeal for help in the investigation of a fatal crash that happened 13 months ago.

Investigators with the Dayton police Crash Reconstruction Unit are asking that anyone who may have been behind one of the two vehicles involved in the accident, or who may have witnessed the crash, to contact the police department.

In April 2016, investigators made their first public appeal for witnesses to come forward about the March 27, 2016, collision at Philadelphia and Cornell drives.

Stacey Cooley Sr., 27, died the day after the crash that occurred about 11:20 p.m. during a heavy rain.
