"They were letting me get away with it for the longest," Desmen Pauley told a News Center 7 videographer Tuesday afternoon as he left the courthouse. "The Post Office put it all on me. The Post Office don't get in trouble."
Pauley and a co-defendant, Tyler Oder, have agreed to bills of information accusing them of possession with intent to distribute drugs. Both worked at the U.S. Postal Service's distribution center on East Fifth Street.
Pauley’s arraignment and plea dates have not been scheduled. Oder pleaded guilty in early March and is to learn his prison sentence in July.
Pauley said employees won't stop stealing mail just because he's been caught. He said he understands he's in trouble.
"Stuff has been going down. You know, mishandling people's mail. People's mail not making it to their address. The Post Office is just very sloppy," he said.
