RIVERSIDE: Two schools made football rivalry bet, and many are going to win
“We want to be about awareness for all children,” said Ashley Ferguson, the event’s organizer. “There are children being beat today that we’re still losing. We want to get awareness and statistics out there about the abuse.”
The event will feature a basket raffle, games for kids, food and city of Riverside fire and police trucks. The initiative is supported by the City of Riverside.

Ferguson has organized the event in memory of a loved one who suffered from child abuse.
“There are kids that are dying from it daily and there are kids being abused,” she said.
