Soggy spring continues wet weather trend

April showers bring May flowers, but precipitation has become a bit excessive in recent months, said Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Jesse Maag.

Beginning in November until now, each month has seen above-average precipitation. Dayton last saw below-average precipitation was in October of 2017.

The wet trend is expected to continue with consistent rain chances lasting throughout the remainder of the month of April. The forecast for the beginning of May is leaning toward above-average rainfall as well.
