Power outages remain throughout region after Tuesday storms

Power has been restored to thousands who were in the dark Tuesday evening after severe storms hit the area, but outages remain.  As of 1 p.m. Wednesday, the following outage numbers were reported:

UPDATE @ 11:59 p.m.: The latest word on reported power outages in the region after Tuesday's heavy rain and storms:

DP&L - 1,360 (197 in Clark; 138 in Greene; 193 in Montgomery; 76 in Preble)

Duke - 294 (104 in Warren; 190 in Butler)

First Energy - 163 (99 in Clark; 64 in Greene)

UPDATE @ 8:20 p.m.: 

The latest is that there are 3,390 reported power outages in the region:

DP&L - 2,907 (including 430 in Montgomery, 626 in Logan and 690 in Greene counties)

Duke Energy - 212 across Warren County, north and east of Middletown

First Energy - 207 in Clark; 64 in Greene

UPDATE @ 5:29 p.m.: 

Now more than 2,800 are reported to be without power in region:

DP&L - 2,268 in Montgomery (1,268 in Greene; 557 in Champaign

Duke Energy - 244 north and east of Middletown; 131 southwest of Franklin

First Energy - 299 in Clark ; 64 Greene

INITIAL REPORT (April 3)

Thousands of Dayton Power & Light customers are without power this morning as storms move through the area.

As of 7:20 a.m., nearly 4,000 DP&L customers are without power in the Centerville area. Customers lost power just before 7 a.m., and power is expected to be restored around 8 a.m.

Northeast of Farmersville, about 70 customers are without power, and about 120 are without power near Park Layne in Clark County.
