Township trustees to discuss vacancy created by Trump’s USDA employee

Butler Twp.’s board of trustees will accept the resignation of former Trustee Nick Brusky and discuss his replacement at a Monday night meeting, the township administrator said.

Nick Brusky last week resigned as a Butler Twp. trustee to take a position with the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Washington, D.C.

“The state statute says the trustees have to agree on an appointment for the replacement,” said Township Administrator Erika Vogel. “If they do not agree in 30 days, the presiding probate judge would make that appointment.”

Brusky was a member of Trump’s campaign staff in Ohio.

The meeting will be held 7 p.m. at the Township Hall, 3780 Little York Road.
