Turf field ribbon-cutting set for Friday

A ribbon-cutting is set for Friday, when West Carrollton City Schools will mark the completion of Dayton Outpatient Center Stadium, a new turf field.

The new field is the result of a joint effort between the school district, the Dayton Dutch Lions FC and the Dayton Outpatient Center. The stadium will be the new home of the Dutch Lions, who are scheduled to begin playing there this weekend.

In March, the soccer organization, the school district and outpatient center announced a 30-year agreement for more than $529,000 in renovations to outdoor athletic facilities, including the high school football stadium.

The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the high school, 5833 Student St. NICK BLIZZARD
