West Carrollton begins demolition effort for Kettering Health building

West Carrollton is starting cleanup efforts that will lead to a Kettering Health Network medical office building in its City Center district.

The city is reviewing five bids for demolition work on 3.84 acres at 744 E. Dixie Drive, a former car wash where KHN plans a facility as part of a three-way deal with Montgomery County.

The city also plans to award a $77,220 contract for tank removal on the site, officials said.

KHN’s medical office building plans will involve physician practices and outpatient services. The construction timetable and cost have not yet been determined.

The city plans to use about $176,800 in Community Development Block Grant funding and National Stabilization Program funds. Both sources are from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and filtered through Montgomery County.
