Long-time Wright State leader takes new job in Michigan

Wright State University will lose a leader who helped the school raise $163 million in its “Rise. Shine.” campaign.

JOB PERKS: WSU bonus package revealed for new president

Bill Shepard, vice president for advancement and the WSU foundation, will leave the college for what appears to be the same job at Eastern Michigan University, according to a statement from EMU. Shepard will become the vice president for advancement and executive director of the EMU foundation on April, 17, according to the university.

Shepard has worked at Wright State for more than 30 years in multiple leadership positions.

Before being named to his current WSU post in 2011, he served as assistant vice president for enrollment from 2010 to 2011 and before that he worked in the office of student affairs since 1986, according to EMU.

“This is a wonderful opportunity and I am looking forward to joining the Eastern Michigan University team,” Shepard told EMU.
