In addition to space reserved for specialists from Mercy Health, the 56,400-square-foot facility has a new locker room, weight room, players’ lounge, coaches’ offices and meeting space.

The project’s cost of just over $25 million was all donor funded, according to university officials.

The facility adds new facilities for Miami’s football team, including offices, meeting areas, locker rooms and laundry and equipment spaces.

The Athletic Performance Center’s weight room will be shared by the football team with women’s field hockey, softball and women’s tennis.

The Athletic Performance Center serves as an addition to the Dauch Indoor Sports Center and sits at the north end of Yager Stadium playing field.
