Middletown city, school officials to give annual updates today

As the year winds down and the new year is just weeks away, Middletown city and school officials will highlight the successes of 2017.

Middletown Mayor Larry Mulligan will give the 2017 State of the City Address at 5 p.m. today, Dec. 12, in the Council Chambers of the Middletown City Building, 1 Donham Plaza.

In addition, Middletown’s newly-elected council members, Joe Mulligan and Ami Vitori, will be sworn-in. Their terms of office will begin on Jan. 1.

Also, Dr. Chris Urso, president of the Middletown Schools Board of Education, will give an update on the state of the city school district.

The city will also present its 11th annual Robert “Sonny” Hill Jr. Humanitarian Award and its sixth annual Armbruster Memorial Award.
