A motorcyclist was transported to Miami Valley Hospital in serious condition Friday night, after crashing his bike around 10:45 p.m. on Route 4, just south of Farmersville-West Carollton Road.
Sergeant Dave Statzer of the Montgomery County Sheriff's office said it appears the victim was riding north when he lost control and went off the right side of the road.
The victim did not appear to be wearing a helmet.
The sheriff's office is investigating the crash and it is unclear if speed or alcohol were factors.
Route 4 was shut down in both directions between Farmersville-West Carrollton Road and Manning Road.
