Susan Boshart, 47, took police officers on a wild chase starting in the area of Centerville and Miami Twp. During the chase that looped down to Ohio 725 by I-75 and then up I-675 exiting at Yankee Street the motorist allegedly struck two officers and a highway patrol cruiser.
On July 26, a ride malfunction at the Ohio State killed one and injured four others. The ride manufacturer, KMG, said the 18 year old ride had excessive corrosion on the interior of the gondola support beam which reduced the beam’s wall thickness over the years.
A road rage incident occurred between a motorcyclist and a vehicle on U.S. Route ramp to I-675. It is believed that incident began after a four-door car cut off a motorcycle. The car driver allegedly punched the motorcyclist and kicked the bike, according to police.
In August, Dayton Flyers forward Sam Miller was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct by intoxication and underage consumption. Miller is also facing a misdemeanor assault after an incident in the Green County Jail.
A New Carlisle News staff photographer Andy Grimm was shot by a New Carlisle Sherriff’s deputy after mistaking his camera for a weapon.
The incident occurred when Deputy Jake Shaw initiated a traffic stop Monday night. During the traffic stop, a man later identified as Andrew Grimm arrived on the scene and was injured after being shot.
