National doughnut chain, Tex-Mex restaurant coming to West Chester

The Streets of West Chester is adding as many as eight retail stores and restaurants, according to officials with the project.

Located next to TopGolf and Main Event Entertainment, the new phase of development will include:

with locations in Kenwood, Florence and Springboro

  • Matt the Miller’s Tavern, an upscale-casual eatery with indoor and outdoor dining
  • A doughnut shop. Josh Rothstein of Blue Ash-based OnSite Retail Group, who is handling marketing and leasing for the project, said he could not disclose the name of the shop today, but described it as “nationally acclaimed.”
  • Additional space at the site includes an outlot with space for one or more retail stores and restaurants.

The new development will be constructed alongside a section of roadway connecting Civic Centre Boulevard from Union Centre Boulevard to Allen Road.

Rothstein and co-listing agent Eric Abroms said attracting retailers and restaurants to the new development has shown how development momentum in the area is shifting to the east.

“It seems as if the perception for the longest time was that the stronger economic development activity was on the west side of Interstate 75’s Union Centre Boulevard’s interchange but being able to provide our new tenants the opportunity to cater to those flocking to TopGolf, Main Event, AMC West Chester 18 and other attractions has been an education and a pleasure,” he said.

North Shore Construction & Development Services is handling the project management for Scott Street Properties, which purchased the land in 2006. North Shore will deliver building pads next month with multi-tenant space expected to start construction by year’s end, according to Rothstein.

Retail and restaurant openings likely will occur in the second quarter of 2017, he said.
