Latest developments on the search for Flight MH370

Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said Monday new analysis of satellite data indicates that Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 crashed into the southern Indian Ocean.

It's the first definitive statement on the fate of the missing plane with 239 passengers and crew on board since it first went missing on March 8 shortly after takeoff from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.

Despite the announcement, the exact location of the plane itself remains a mystery as is the reason the plane was lost.

The Associated Press reported Monday that ships rushed to the location of floating objects spotted by Australian and Chinese planes in the southern Indian Ocean close to where multiple satellites have detected possible remains of the lost airliner.
