A new ad campaign and website are trying to get the word out that anyone can be a Republican. But part of that hashtag campaign has backfired, after an ad maker used stock images to put a face to the party.
Doing a search online, The Daily Banter, a liberal political website found the same photo was used on multiple advertisements, including one saying the woman was a fashion designer and one for discount glasses.
Meanwhile, it is not just the photo backlash plaguing the campaign, some people are turning #IAmARepublican into a battle of words in the Twitterverse.
