KupBop seats 30 diners, Clark said. Its hours are 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, closed Sunday.
Here’s how KupBop introduces itself on its web site:
“KupBop is a Korean well-being restaurant which its goal is to bring to our customers food of the high quality ingredients and high nutrition value that tastes as good as it feels.
“Bibimbap is a traditional and healthy Korean dish with rich history of over 5000 years, enjoyed by royalty and commoners alike. The dish is served with sticky rice, fresh superfood vegetables, assorted marinated meat, and served with assorted sauces that could be mixed and matched to the individual’s choice.
“This classic dish contains a combination of protein, carbohydrates, fiber, and natural vitamins to create a balanced nutritious plate for the individual to enjoy on-the-go or with company.”
KupBop customers can create their own bibimbap bowl, choosing from among white, purple or brown rice; beef, chicken or spicy pork; and vegetables such as kale, cucumber, daikon, corn or lettuce, all topped with a choice of sauces.
KupBop is the second Korean restaurant to open in the Dayton area this month. Bibibop Asian Grill, part of a Columbus-based chain that specializes in bibimbap and Korean-inspired dishes, opened Dec. 1 at 1200 Brown St. near the University of Dayton.
