New Brookville Library opens today

Dayton Metro Library is opening the new Brookville Library today with a variety of activities from 2 to 6 p.m.

During the opening ceremony, visitors will have an opportunity to tour the new library, meet the library mascots, view tech demonstrations, and enjoy music and refreshments.

Artist Darren Kall will be on location beginning work on an art installation in the library’s meeting room.

The old library closed July 30. The new library is located at 120 Blue Pride Drive, near Brookville High School.

Regular hours at the new library start Tuesday.

They are: 9:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday; and closed Sundays.
