New Dayton restaurant has familiar face behind counter

A new Asian restaurant has opened at 4622 Brandt Pike (Ohio 201) in Dayton, and it has a familiar face behind the counter.

Wendy Nawa is the manager of the new Time4Noodle, which opened last week in the Cloud Park Plaza retail center, just on the Dayton side of its boundary with Huber Heights. The center also houses Godfather's Pizza and Great Clips, among other tenants.

Nawa is the former owner of Iyara Thai Restaurant at 6118 Chambersburg Road in Huber Heights. She sold the restaurant last fall, and the Chambersburg space now houses a Thai restaurant called Thai Niyom restaurant. Nawa said she is serving some of the same special dishes that were popular at Iyara.

(Quick aside: for several years — and this was a couple of decades ago — that 6118 Chambersburg Road space housed the ONLY Thai restaurant in the Dayton area, then called Thai West. A handful of other local restaurants offered Thai dishes, but Thai West was the only restaurant in the region that used “Thai” in its name. THAT has certainly changed.)

Time4Noodle serves a variety of curry dishes, noodle bowls, soups, salads and appetizers. It is open for lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday, and is closed Sunday. For more information, (937) 259-8731.
