New motorcycle shop opens in Monroe

A new Butler County business is revving up for a weekend celebration filled with motorcycles and music.

Sparky’s American Motorcycles is set to open Saturday, July 15, in a 12,00o-square-foot facility at 316 N. Main St. in Monroe, just north of Ohio 63.

The business offers late model, pre-owned Harley-Davidson motorcycle sales and service, V-Twin parts and accessories, and a wide array of lifestyle merchandise, the majority of it American-made.

About two thirds of the business is dedicated to motorcycles with the remainder slated to become an entertainment venue in the coming months.

The business is under the auspices of husband-and-wife team Ray and Mandi Phipps — the former owners of what once was Aces & Eights Harley Davidson in Deerfield Twp. — and father-and-son team Denny Brunk and Jason Brunk.

A “sneak peek” event this Saturday and Sunday is aimed at not only providing a good time, but also culling the opinions of motorcycle aficionados and admirers.

“Harley-Davidson riders are among the most brand loyal consumers in the nation,” Mandi Phipps said. “We chose to build a dealership for those buyers by listening to them. That’s what the sneak peek event this weekend is all about.”
