A male bicyclist was critically injured Friday night after being hit by a car at Woodman Drive and Patterson Road in Kettering.

KETTERING —

A male bicyclist is in critical condition at Kettering Medical Center after being hit by a car Friday night at Woodman Drive and Patterson Road. The accident happened around 8:50 p.m.

Kettering Police Sgt. Lee Sanders said that the bicyclist was westbound on Patterson Road when he was hit by a southbound car on Woodman Drive. He added that the bicyclist was unconscious when medics arrived.

The bicyclist has been identified as Joshua Schwarck and is still listed in critical condition. Police have not released the name of the male driver. Sanders said both are from the area.

No charges have been filed, but Sanders said that the accident remains under investigation.
