BEAVERCREEK —

A Beavercreek man was able to escape a Christmas Day house fire unharmed as fire crews were able to quickly bring it under control.

The fire, confined mainly to an attic, broke out at about 3:30 p.m. in the 2400 block of Hazel Drive.

No damage estimate has been made available. The fire was not considered suspicious.

There were initial reports of flames and dark smoke coming from the attic of the home.
