WEST CARROLLTON —
A teenager who had been reported missing for nearly a week was found safe Thursday night.
Fifteen-year-old Angel Sallee of West Carrollton was found on Woodman Drive in Dayton. She had been reported missing since Dec. 7.
West Carrollton Deputy Police Chief Doug Woodard said someone recognized the girl from the television news and called Dayton police, who then called his department.
Police asked for help in locating the teen in part because she has a medical condition that requires medication.
Woodard said the girl received her medication and was OK. She was being questioned to ascertain information about where she has been, he said.
Police knew the teen was still in the area because she had been texting friends.
