DAYTON —

Five people were taken into custody Wednesday night from an address on Riverview Terrace where the Dayton Police Department Drug Unit executed a raid.

Dayton Sgt. John Sullivan said special tactics and weapons officers were utilized while executing search warrants at two apartment units in the 800 block of Riverview Terrace.

Sullivan said officers found crack cocaine, heroin and marijuana at those locations. The amounts of the illicit drugs were not released.

Arrested were Walter J. Hickman III and Willie Russell, both on suspicion of felony drug possession; James D. Jones and Carmella Davis on suspicion of permitting drug abuse; and Brooke L. Gabritsch on an outstanding arrest warrant, according to Sullivan. The ages of those arrested were not released.

Witnesses tell News Center 7 that officers used a ramming tool to breach the apartment doors.

This story will be updated as more details become available.
